“Going Green” – What the Future Holds For Niccoli Bros. Oil
Beginning July of 2010, Massachusetts has mandated a 2% biofuel blend for home heating oil, commonly known as Bioheat. Bioheat is a blend of traditional home heating oil and pure biodiesel.
What is Biodiesel? Biodiesel is NOT a petroleum product. Rather, it is a refined fuel produced from domestic, renewable resources like soybean, cotton seed, sunflower seed and recycled cooking oil. It contains no petroleum! It is biodegradable, non-toxic and essentially free of sulfur and aromatics.
In short, Bioheat is a much cleaner fuel, and more importantly, renewable.
